South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS)

SCAS operates the non-emergency Patient Transport Service (PTS) in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire providing transport for people who are unable to use public or other transport due to their medical condition, and include those who are:

  • attending hospital outpatient clinics
  • being admitted to or discharged from hospital wards
  • needing life-saving treatments such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy or renal dialysis or DVT treatment.

To book your own transport; please ring the patient eligibility line on: 0300 123 9826, choose option 1. If you have booked transport and find you no longer require it, please cancel it to ensure this place can be offered to someone else by ringing the patient cancellation line on: 0300 790 0143.
The Patient Transport Service Contact Centre is open 7am – 7pm.

The Downland Volunteer Group

The Downland Volunteer Group (DVG) is based at our Compton branch site Monday to Friday 9:30am – 11:30am. The DVG assists patients with journeys within the Downland parishes, including journeys to and from the practice.
