Patients who have requested private medicals from the Downland Practice are very likely to have at least a two week delay on this work being processed. The reason for this is that we have had a large backlog of work arrive at the surgery, this is a direct result of the Postal Strikes that have occurred recently. Patients who are requesting private medical work will need to factor this in when they are sending off their request to the surgery. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause patients but this matter is out side of the control of practice staff. Hopefully this matter will be be resolved by the end of February 2023. If there are further postal strike then this matter will take longer to resolve.
