Our most recent donations from The Downland Practice community collection points weighed 26.7kg which is the equivalent of 56 meals for people in need! Thank you to all those who have donated.
West Berks Foodbank is running the Hungry Holidays scheme again this summer, to help provide meals for children over the summer holidays who usually receive free meals at school. Around 900 children from the local area have been put forward to the scheme by their schools and the Foodbank needs all the support they can get to help with this demand.
As most people have been feeling the pinch, the Foodbank has seen a decrease in recent donations. The Downland Practice collection points remain open at Chieveley and Compton Surgery and we continue to welcome donations from staff, patients, and the local community.
